- In “LIFE before LIFE” emotions and contrasting scenarios counteract in the couple’s life. The lightness and hope within the love felt by the girl, are compared to the apathetic and urban settings in which, the boy is found wandering, after being terrified by a dream vision, although prescient. The film “narrates” the accentuating sensation of intrinsic disorder of youth, when a remarkable loving experience defines the choices of adulthood. As so well reported by Charles Baudelaire when he explains in the “Journaux intimes”, a sentiment that has marked his life since his youth: “I felt in my heart two contradictory feelings: the horror of life and the ecstasy of life.”
